Business Conduct
SAP expects Partners to compete fairly and ethically for all business opportunities. All statements, communications, and representations made to SAP must be accurate and truthful.
Financial Integrity
Accurate and reliable financial records are critical. Partners must:
- Never have false or inaccurate entries in accounting books or records related to SAP
- Retain business records in accordance with applicable local laws and record retention policies
Conflicts of Interest
A conflict of interest arises when there is doubt about a Partner's ability to act with total objectivity. This includes situations where personal financial or other interests could conflict with SAP's interests.
While engaged in SAP-related work, Partners must:
- Exercise reasonable care to avoid conflicts of interest
- Immediately disclose any conflict or appearance of conflict to SAP's Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC)
Human Rights and Labor Standards
SAP expects Partners to respect human rights as expressed in the International Bill of Human Rights and the eight ILO core conventions. Partners must respect their employees' and contractors' fundamental rights at work, including:
- Safe and healthy workplace
- Freedom from modern slavery or forced labor
- Freedom from child labor
- Compliance with local working hours and rest-break requirements
- Adequate living wages
- Humane treatment
- Non-discrimination
- Freedom of association
Partners must also identify, assess, prevent, and minimize human rights risks in their value chains, and provide employees and external parties a means to raise concerns of misconduct.
Environmental Protection
Partners should identify, assess, prevent, and minimize environmental risks in their own operations and supply chain. This includes:
- Maintaining processes to safely dispose of hazardous waste
- Avoiding soil contamination, water or air pollution, harmful noise emissions, and excessive water consumption
- Obtaining and maintaining all required environmental permits and registrations
- Following all operational and reporting requirements for environmental compliance
