What is Bribery?
Bribery is offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting something of value to influence a business decision. As a sales professional, you must never offer or accept anything that could be seen as influencing a customer or partner decision improperly.
Key Rules
- Never offer cash, gifts, or benefits to customers, procurement officers, or government officials to secure a deal
- Corporate gifts must not exceed Rp 500.000 in value and must be disclosed
- Entertainment expenses must have prior approval from direct manager
- All samples given to customers must be logged in the system
What to Do If Approached
- Decline politely and professionally
- Document the incident immediately
- Report to your line manager or compliance team within 24 hours
- Use the anonymous whistleblower channel if needed
