What is Bribery?

Bribery is offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting something of value to influence a business decision. As a sales professional, you must never offer or accept anything that could be seen as influencing a customer or partner decision improperly.

Key Rules

  • Never offer cash, gifts, or benefits to customers, procurement officers, or government officials to secure a deal
  • Corporate gifts must not exceed Rp 500.000 in value and must be disclosed
  • Entertainment expenses must have prior approval from direct manager
  • All samples given to customers must be logged in the system

What to Do If Approached

  1. Decline politely and professionally
  2. Document the incident immediately
  3. Report to your line manager or compliance team within 24 hours
  4. Use the anonymous whistleblower channel if needed
